Meshing Software Engineer

Hello there! My name is Vijai. I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. I began my career as an intern at a mesh-generation software firm and eventually transitioned into a junior software development role. During that time, I gained experience in commercial grid-generation algorithms and learned GUI development using the Qt framework. I also built the company’s website with Flask and automated various aspects of its CI/CD infrastructure. Seeking new growth opportunities, I moved on to a software developer position focused on geometry processing and mesh-generation algorithms. Concurrently, I’m pursuing an industrial Ph.D., with an expected completion in 2025. I’ve published several papers in industrial geometry processing, giving me a solid grasp of state-of-the-art techniques. Occasionally I consult on projects for startups that don’t require—or can’t yet afford—a full-time developer. If you need my help, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

3MF Consortium (A Linux Foundation Project)

  • Maintain the lib3mf repository, fixing bugs and assisting users with their issues.
  • Enhance and maintain automated binding generator tools written in Golang.
  • Manage and maintain bindings for the C++ library in multiple languages, including Python, Golang, and Node.js.
  • Oversee DevOps tasks across all supported platforms, ensuring seamless builds, deployments, and releases.
  • Collaborate with a global team of contributors to improve the library and promote the 3MF file format.
